What is Visual Casino 8 (VC8)?
VC8 is the latest major version of our core surveillance and intelligence platform, Visual Casino. It powers hundreds of casino surveillance rooms and connects casinos, gaming commissions and law enforcement across the Security & Surveillance Information Network (SSIN), along with providing access to CID and X-LST, in addition to LOGiT. This release represents a major upgrade — with improved facial recognition performance, bulk data tools, enhanced audit trails, and full framework modernization.
Why is this release important?
VC8 addresses three major priorities our partners have flagged:
- Better facial recognition and data search
- Streamlined workflows and report handling
- Up-to-date technology with fewer crashes or delays
It also improves long-term scalability by moving the platform to .NET 9.0 and separating local configurations for report customization and audit tracking.

What improvements were made to facial recognition?
Facial recognition searches within SSIN are now faster, more accurate, and deliver more relevant results. We've optimized how customer queries interact with our upgraded backend to improve match quality and speed — with a new facial detection engine in testing for release soon.
Note: These upgrades currently apply only to SSIN. CID and X-LST remain locally hosted and will be migrated to remote architecture in a future release to support the enhanced facial recognition capabilities.
What is the X-LST bulk import tool?
Customers can now import lists — including patron or employee records — into X-LST via CSV, with optional photo support. This helps streamline exclusion list creation and local database updates without manual entry.
Is VC8 compatible with VC7?
Yes. VC8 runs side-by-side with VC7, allowing you to test or transition over time. This means no disruption to your team’s workflow during rollout. We’ll work with your IT/security leads to schedule and support your upgrade.
What are the audit and compliance benefits in VC8?

What if I’m not ready to upgrade yet?
If you’re currently on VC7, there’s no forced cutoff — but we encourage all customers to upgrade ASAP. VC8 is more secure, faster, and resolves many of the long-standing UI and performance issues reported in VC7.
