At times, it may be necessary for you to execute a custom SQL Script supplied by Biometrica against Visual Casino. The application offers a way for you to execute these scripts from the user interface without needing to request assistance from IT or SQL administrators.
There are no specific permissions required to be able to execute an SQL script, but only encrypted SQL scripts supplied by Biometrica Systems can be executed from this interface. It will not accept regular SQL script files.
To execute an SQL Script:
- Download the supplied SQL script(s) to a machine that has Visual Casino installed
- Log in to Visual Casino
- Select Application > View Logs
- Click the DB Information button
- Click the SQL Scripts button
- Enter the full path to the encrypted SQL file (this file usually ends in .enc)
- Enter the password for the encrypted SQL file
- Click Start
The script will execute, and the output will appear in the SQL Results section of the window.
Note: while no assistance from an SQL administrator is necessary, we recommend that you contact your IT department and request that they take a backup of your database before executing any SQL script provided. This is to ensure that recover is possible in case of database corruption.
